Schoffstall.net (SNET) has been installing a "state of the art" infrastructure through a system of new wireless towers (we call them TowerCells) in Central Pennsylvania dedicated to broadband wireless access. These TowerCells are not being shared with cellular carriers, FM transmitters or a plethora of radio operators. They are new sites topologically optimized to take advantage of 21st century technology where businesses and consumers are located today. These towers sustain the "switching fabric" and are the basis of our LOS and NLOS business service offerings to any small or large business. These towers then connect to the hundreds (soon thousands) of WiFi hotzones through HomeCells , in place and planned that provide an "access fabric" for the Residential and WiFi services.
SNET uses 5.8Ghz and 5.2Ghz Wireless equipment from Alvarion and Trango to provide the backbone connections between these broadband towers, using Cisco switches and routers to finish off the switching fabric. Customer access is provided either through 5.8Ghz LOS technology, 900Mhz NLOS technology, or 2.4Ghz NLOS mesh technology depending on customer requirements and location.
SNET''s hotzones are built and provided through a combination of Vivato and Mesh technology uniquely deployed in Pennsylvania through our HomeCell effort in conjunction with our TowerCells.
